For more than four decades, Michael Williams has dedicated his life to serving others. From serving his country in the United States Army, protecting families as a Shreveport firefighter, leading on the Caddo Parish Commission, advocating for civil rights, mentoring future generations, and ministering to the community, his life’s work has always been about putting people first.
Today, Michael is running for Mayor because he believes Shreveport deserves experienced leadership, honest government, safer neighborhoods, stronger economic growth, and opportunities for every family.

A Lifetime of Leadership
🇺🇸United States Army Veteran
Served honorably in the United States Army from 1978 to 1981 after graduating from Booker T. Washington High School.
🚒Shreveport Firefighter
Served the City of Shreveport for 10 years and became the first African American firefighter to receive the McFarland Post 14 Firefighter Award.
🏛 14 Years on the Caddo Commission
Served through three elections and two appointments, including as President and Vice President of the Caddo Commission.
📈Champion for Public Safety & Economic Development
Led initiatives focused on juvenile justice, public safety, crime prevention, and economic development while serving on local and national committees.

Former CEO of Dynamic Medical Clinic, entrepreneur, minister, civil rights advocate, and longtime community leader dedicated to strengthening Shreveport.
